Filter the rates US cleaning companies publish, by state, service and unit

This tool filters the rates US cleaning companies publish on their own websites and shows the distribution behind them. It holds 10,316 rates from 3,623 companies, captured on 2026-10-13, and filters them by state, by the service the rate names and by pricing unit. Below 20 companies it states no median and says so instead. Every rate links to the page it was read from.

What this tool does

This tool filters 10,316 rates published by 3,623 cleaning companies and recalculates their distribution for the selection you choose. The rates were read from each company’s own website on 2026-10-13, and the table under the chart links every one of them back to the page it came from.

Three filters change the result, and they are the three the data can answer: the state, the service the rate names, and the pricing unit. A fourth one that most calculators offer — the size of your home — is not here on purpose, and the reason is in the method page: only 14.9% of published rates name a bedroom count and 6.4% a square footage, so a size filter would answer “no data” for almost every combination.

What the filters show that a single average hides

Two results stand out as soon as the service filter moves, and both come from the same 3,623 companies.

A deep clean and a move-out clean are priced alike, and both run about 21% above a standard clean: $180 against $149 as a median per visit. The two jobs are different, but companies price them the same way, as a one-off on an unprepared home.

The hourly rate barely moves at all — $45 to $55 whatever the service. That is the more useful of the two findings, because it says where the money actually goes: an hour of cleaning costs roughly the same hour whichever job it belongs to, so a deep clean is not a more expensive rate, it is more hours. A company quoting per hour and a company quoting per visit can be pricing the same work identically.

What this tool does not do

It does not produce an estimate for your home, and it does not contact any company. It shows what companies have already published, filtered to the conditions you choose.

It also refuses to state a figure below 20 companies, which is the same threshold the site uses before a state gets a page of its own. Narrow the filters far enough — an hourly deep clean in a small state — and the tool will tell you how many companies it found and decline to give a median. That is not a gap in the data: 7 companies cannot describe a market, and a number that appears anyway would be a number nobody measured.

A range is not a quote. The companies in this dataset answer a real request with a site visit, and the rate they publish is where that conversation starts.
